Nancy Grace Oppelt of Valley
Nancy Grace Oppelt, nee Foster, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Paoli Hospital in Paoli.
Born July 15, 1947 in North Philadelphia, Nancy was the daughter of the late Milton and Gladys Foster.
Nancy was the loving wife of William M. Oppelt for 45 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, William B. Oppelt and his wife Amy, daughter Lauren Nancy Sweatman and her husband Mark and she was the devoted grandmother of four grandchildren: Rachel, Sam, Max, and Molly. Nancy is also survived by three siblings: Mickey (Milton) Foster, Gary Foster and Carole Vetrone.
Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Buddendorf.
After a few years as a secretary, including a tenure with Rohm and Haas in Philadelphia, Nancy was a teacher's assistant in Cinnaminson, NJ for more than 20 years, where she was beloved by faculty and students alike.
Nancy's greatest pleasures included reading, decorating, fashion, antiques, travel, and enjoying classical music, jazz, and light opera. However, her devotion to her loved ones always came first.
She treasured her family and the time she spent with them more than anything.
Nancy appreciated every opportunity to watch a baseball game, fix a broken button, babysit on-call 24/7, and support her family and friends unconditionally. Her door was always open and her plans were always flexible whenever she was needed. She was a true role model for us all.
