Children of the nineties will be heartbroken to learn the famous home of the Teletubbies has been flooded to make a giant pond.

The iconic tubby valley is unrecognisable after it was filledwith volumes of water by the former production company after the show found a new location.

The sloping green hill in Wimpstone, Warks was home to Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po when they first hit our screens in March 1997 until 2001.

No sign of it: The enormous pond completely fills the famous Teletubby valley where popular characters Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po once roamed

Gone forever: Production company Ragdoll, who commissioned the series, returned to the farm in Warwickshire to return the land back to its natural habitat after they finished filming

But 20 years after first airing, the once psychedelic setting designed to colourfully capture children's imagination is a watery wasteland.

A family of swans and freshwater fish have overthrown the 'Tubbytronic Superdome' leaving no sign of the once globally-loved show.

All new episodes returned to Cbeebies this week, but filmed in a new location.

Landowner and retiree Rex Harding said Ragdoll Productions paid to have the land converted back to a natural habitat after using the site for years as the outdoors setting for the programme.

Mr Harding revealed they earned around £1,000 a month while they were filming at their Warwickshire farm - but said he wished he had asked for me.

Eh-oh! The instantly-recognisable characters waving from the site, which is now completely flooded

He said: 'They kept it very secret, they wouldn't let any kids on the site at all.

'It was about three fields from the farm house so it was out of site and all we saw was the rush in the morning and afternoon.

'They did the Tots TV here too which was marvellous to watch.

'Of the 40 million to show brought in I only saw around £1,000 each month when they were there, thinking about it now I probably should've insisted on a percentage!

'They came and dug the hole to put the site in then filled it with water when they left.

'They took everything away, levelled off the grass and filled it in. It's now a nice wildlife lake.

'It was very interesting to have them there and something different.'

Wife Rosemary Harding previously said they had several people trespassing to get a glimpse of the secluded area.

Mrs Harding, 63, now runs an aquatics plant and fish shop from their family farm and said she still spots the odd tourist.

At its peak, BBC's popular children's show was broadcast in a whopping 80 countries.
